In one line: Vuelto does not collect, store on its own servers or share any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The only things the app saves are your formulas, your favourites and your calculation history, and they live on your device (and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud, which the developer cannot access).

Vuelto is an app for iPhone and iPad developed and published by Jorge Maldonado Borbón, trading under the brand IndieLob (the “developer”, “we”).
As explained below, the developer does not receive, host or have any way to look at the data your use of the app generates. Even so, you are welcome to write to us with any privacy question.
This policy describes how data is handled in the Vuelto app for iOS and iPadOS (iOS 18 or later), across all of its features: the formula calculator, the formula library, the custom formula builder, voice mode, history, the bill and coin denominations used for change, and the optional Vuelto Pro purchase.
It does not cover third-party services you may use alongside the app — chiefly Apple (App Store, iCloud, the purchase system, speech recognition, Siri and Shortcuts) — which are governed by their own privacy policies.
So that there is no ambiguity, here is the list of things the app does not do:
Vuelto saves only what it needs in order to work. Everything is kept in the private, isolated space iOS reserves for the app inside your device, which no other app and not the developer can reach.
| Data | What it contains exactly | Where it is kept | Does it leave the device? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your own formulas | The name, description, category, mathematical expression, variables and creation and edit dates that you write. | The app’s private database, inside your device. | Only to your private iCloud |
| Favourites | Which formula you marked as a favourite, the date you did so and whether you pinned it to the top. | The same private app database. | Only to your private iCloud |
| Calculation history | The name of the formula used, the date, the values you entered and the results obtained. | A separate database, inside your device and only there. | Never. Your device only |
| Preferences | Your chosen language, the bill and coin denominations you configured, whether the spoken assistant is on, whether you completed the introduction, and the last result kept in memory (one figure and the formula name). | The app’s internal settings, inside your device. | No |
| Internal usage counters | The date of first launch, the number of calculations made and the number of distinct days of use. They serve only to decide when to show Apple’s rating prompt, once. | The app’s internal settings, inside your device. | No |
| Vuelto Pro status | A plain yes/no recording whether the purchase is active on this device, so that features are not locked while Apple confirms the purchase. | The app’s internal settings, inside your device. | No |
None of this data includes anything that identifies you. It is content you create (formulas, favourites, calculation figures) and app preferences. If you back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud or to your computer, that data is included in the backup, which Apple manages and encrypts.
So that your own formulas and favourites are available on all your devices, Vuelto relies on iCloud, Apple’s syncing service.
Apple’s handling of data hosted in iCloud is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and the iCloud terms.
Voice mode is optional. It works only if you open it and grant the permissions iOS asks you for: microphone and speech recognition. You can revoke them at any time in Settings › Vuelto; the rest of the app keeps working without them.
Vuelto Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple, through the App Store and your Apple Account.
Vuelto is a calculator and collects no personal data from anyone, at any age. It therefore does not and could not collect data from children under 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your country). There are no profiles, no messaging, no user-generated content from others and no targeted advertising.
Regulations such as the European GDPR, the UK GDPR, California’s CCPA/CPRA or Mexico’s LFPDPPP grant you rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability over the personal data a company holds about you.
With Vuelto, those rights are satisfied in the most direct way possible: we hold no data of yours to hand over, correct or delete. There is no user database and no copies on developer servers. All of your content is on your device and in your personal iCloud, under your exclusive control and reachable at any time from the app itself.
Even so, if you have any privacy-related question, write to us at support@indielob.com and we will reply within a reasonable time.
Bear in mind that uninstalling the app does not by itself erase what is already in your iCloud, just as deleting from iCloud does not remove your local history (which was never there).
Your formulas, favourites, history and preferences are kept for as long as you want: they do not expire and are not purged automatically. They are removed when you delete them inside the app, when you uninstall the app, or when you delete the data from iCloud. The developer keeps no copies, because it never receives any.
Consistently with all of the above, Vuelto’s App Store listing is declared as “Data Not Collected”: the app collects no data that is sent to the developer or to third parties, and it performs no tracking in the sense of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (which is why you will never see the tracking permission request).
If a new feature ever changes how data is handled, we will update this policy and change the “In force since” date in the header. If the change is substantial, notice will be given inside the app or in the App Store release notes. We recommend checking this page from time to time.
The Spanish version of this Privacy Policy is the only official and legally binding version. The versions available in other languages — English, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, German, Turkish, Simplified Chinese and Dutch — are published for information and convenience only, to aid understanding, and have no legal force in themselves.
In the event of any discrepancy, contradiction, ambiguity, translation error or omission, or conflict of interpretation between the Spanish version and any of its translations, the Spanish version shall always prevail in full and shall govern for all legal purposes. You can read it here: Política de Privacidad (español).
